Sanlorenzo SX88 (2017)
Sanlorenzo SX88 is a highly innovative 27-metre motor yacht designed in 2017, a new Crossover concept created by the Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo with Officina Italiana Design, full of new proposals and intelligent, rational and practical solutions.
The design of the external lines is unusual and contemporary, characterized by a high bow, suitable for navigation and a profile that tapers down towards the stern, recalling the design of exploration yachts, which gives the SX series yachts a very elegant and "aerodynamic".
Synthesis between the classic motoryacht with flying bridge and the explorer type, the SX range (SX76 / SX88 / SX112), born from a concept by the architect. Luca Santella, favors the use of the boat at sea, therefore designed for nautical connoisseurs.
Courageous choices were made in the development of the layout, such as placing the wheelhouse on the upper deck, the flying bridge can be totally closed and air-conditioned by electrically activating the side windows, freeing up the bow area of the lounge on the main deck, thus allowing to transform, optionally, the entire main deck into a single open environment in continuity between the living room, dining room and open kitchen.
Sanlorenzo SX88 has space to accommodate 8 guests in a 4-cabin configuration.
Piero Lissoni designed the interiors of the Sanlorenzo SX88 which have an open plan, loft-like feel with an open kitchen, dining area and lounge area as well as cabins on the lower deck. The command station is autonomous on the flybridge.
The spacious owner's cabin can be placed on the main deck for a more intimate solution, an absolute SX88 exclusive for a yacht of this size.
Large open spaces, combined with large glass surfaces guarantee seamless internal/external communication.
The large beach area at the stern offers incomparable space, so much so that it can also accommodate large toys for exploring the sea.
Sanlorenzo SX88 is powered by three Volvo Penta D3 IPS 1050 engines, glides across the water at 20 knots and reaches a top speed of 23 knots.
The Sanlorenzo SX88 project also entered the ADI Design Index 2018, the volume that annually brings together the best of Italian design selected by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory.
